The current European framework carries too much risk of green and impact washing. And we believe that the EU needs to make impact investing a priority to achieve the fair transition. 🇪🇺👊

That’s why joined UnitedForImpact, an initiative, supported by 53 impact investors from 16 EU countries that aim to promote impact investing at the European level through shared knowledge & advocacy. This initiative is a testament to the power of unity. When we come together, there’s no limit to what we can achieve. 🫶

𝟭️ 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Pushing for a clear and precise definition of impact investment within the SFDR framework.

𝟮. 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗨 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴: Working to enhance the role of EU funding to stimulate private impact investments.

𝟯️. 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗮𝘅𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆: Advocating for the completion of the environmental taxonomy with a social taxonomy.

𝟰. 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀: Supporting the creation of a “mission-driven” company status within the EU.

A well-defined framework and precise definitions are essential to foster the EU capital market and achieve our continent’s sustainable development objectives. Impact investing is at the heart of sustainable finance. We call on European authorities to make it happen at a large scale. 💪
