20 Wakuli-bars down. A world without bad coffee to go
Most coffee brands expand to sell more coffee. Our portfolio partner Wakuli expands to rewrite the rules. Last week, they opened their 20th bar, this time in Groningen. Another step towards a world without bad coffee. Another place where customers become part of a system where farmers earn 20% more than what most big chains pay, while the price for the amazing specialty coffee remains very affordable!
While many D2C brands bet everything on online-only, Lukas Grosfeld, Yorick Bruins and their team believed their mission needed a physical presence, places where the story comes to life, not just on a poster, but in every cup.
Half of Wakuli’s coffee now reaches customers through their own bars, but that’s only one side of their impact. Subscriptions do the rest: beans or pods sold directly from farmers, at fairer prices, delivered to your house. That’s not just growth. That’s a fairer coffee system. Where better income for farmers means better care for the land. Where quality isn’t extracted, but shared.
We can all contribute, one ☕️ at a time.
