Aftermovie NN Social Innovation Startup Award 2026

That’s a wrap on the 2026 NN Social Innovation Startup Award. This edition set a lot in motion, and the numbers and this aftermovie tell a story we love to share. 🙌

Together with NN Group’s Social Innovation Fund, we set this award up three years ago to back early-stage founders closing the well-being gap, and each round raises the bar for the next. This year started with 380 applications from 38 countries, all building solutions for mental, physical and financial well-being at scale. grandmama, Annie Advisor, ObsessLess, eFrontiers, Floow.ai and WUK made it to the stage at Hello Tomorrow in Amsterdam and won over the jury.

In the end, the Greek startup grandmama took the award for the way they make eldercare trustworthy and transparent, with caregivers who are paid fairly. Co-founded by Vicky KLIMI and Maria Miliou, they already support 8,500 families in Greece, have a network of 12,500 vetted caregivers, and have paid out over $35 million to them through the platform.

This is exactly the kind of impact the award is built for.

What we love most is seeing how many people are putting their energy into a better world. 380 teams, each one working to tackle social inequality and look after the people around them. We hope that number keeps growing, and that every one of them comes back to apply again next year.
