Investment in The renewal Workshop

We are very happy to announce our latest investment in The Renewal Workshop (TRW). The fashion industry has a very significant negative environmental and social impact. To take action we believe we need to reduce our dependence on new items from virgin resources and break the linear take-make-waste cycle. TRW does just that; it enables brands to turn their business model circular by managing their recommerce of damaged & used clothing. Social Impact Ventures, together with SHIFT Invest, Quadia and US-based funds Closed Loop Ventures and Gratitude Railroad have invested EUR 5 million in The Renewal Workshop to fund their expansion to Europe. We’re excited to welcome them to Amsterdam and start this journey together!
