New talent has arrived!

As of this week the Rubio team is extended with two new talents. Meet Alexandros Matthiessen and Sophie Wynaendts.

Alexandros has a passion for finance, startups and innovation. After 11 years working in several finance roles in banking with HSBC, International Life and consulting EY for both multinationals and start/scale-ups he is now bringing his passion to impact investing at Rubio. As our new Finance Director Alexandros is responsible for all financial & impact reporting. Also nice to know is that Alexandros is a guest lecturer at Eindhoven University of Technology on entrepreneurial finance and he loves to kite.

Sophie is our new analyst in team Planet.. Sophie blew us away during her 4 month internship so we asked her to stay! Sophie has a Masters degree in Environmental Science at the university of Utrecht, and interned for Circle Economy & DSM. She also co-found the super social venture Oma’s Soep (supporting lonely elderly by making soup) and is an active volunteer for African Parks Network. For Rubio Sophie will be sourcing exciting game-changing ClimateTech startups.
