DeWarmte

Household heating is behind the times, with carbon intensive gas boilers providing the vast majority of warmth. DeWarmte are here to replace heating systems for a better future.

Eliminating gas from every household

DeWarmte is on a mission to create a completely CO2-neutral heat supply by delivering high efficiency hybrid and all-electric heat pumps. This replaces the gas-powered boilers that still represent more than 60% of household heating.

Their heat pumps deliver best-in-class efficiency and have built in intelligence enabling faster calibration and control.

Decarbonisation of household boilers is a hot topic, and initial results show that the gas saved by a household switching to DeWarmte’s electrified pumps equates to an average of 20% reduction in CO2 emissions for residential heating.

With a best in class product suite and a strong outlook for electrification of heat pumps, we are convinced that DeWarmte will accelerate the heat transition. The two young co-founders Sander Wapperom and Auke de Vries (in the picture above with the first prototype), both TU Delft alumni, will use our investment to expand DeWarmte’s team, further product development and set-up their operations for scale.
